Univision Upfront: Bill Clinton Calls for Policies Of “Radical Inclusion” | Deadline

Now this is a way to make an upfront presentation interesting: In addition to its programming pitches and celebrity appearances, Univision brought out former President Bill Clinton, who preached the benefits of diversity and “radical inclusion” during a 15-minute interview with Alicia Menendez — an anchor at Fusion, the company’s joint venture with ABC.

Where businesses and governments reach out and promote equality “good things are happening….This is not rocket science.” The Hispanic market, he says, has $1.2 trillion in buying power and is “highly diverse” as populations from Puerto Rico and Central America grow in proportion to those from Mexico.

What’s more, Hispanic buying power is growing at twice the rate as the rest of the population. “If I were an advertiser I’d study the demographic patterns,” Clinton says. “It’s an entirely different world today” than it was when he was president.

What do you think?
