The Morning Ledger: Strong Dollar Doesn’t Stop Some Overseas Cash From Finding Its Way Home – The CFO Report – WSJ

Good morning. General Electric Co. on Friday said it plans to repatriate a sizable chunk of its overseas cash, to the tune of $36 billion, CFO Journal’s Vipal Monga reports. That would total about 12% of the estimated $301 billion companies brought back or earmarked for repatriation all of last year, according to Credit Suisse AG. GE will pay $6 billion in taxes to bring the money home.
