Gary Trent Jr. equaled a tournament record with seven three-pointers and scored 25 points to lead the United States to a 151-51 victory against the Dominican Republic at the FIBA Americas U16 Championship in Argentina.

Trent (Apple Valley, Minn.) tied the USA and FIBA Americas U16 record for made threes set by Bradley Beal in 2009.

The Americans made 19 three-pointers overall, setting the event’s single-game record. The USA’s previous record was 13 (2009); the previous tournament record was 14, set by Canada and Chile in 2011.
